I’m Hitesh Aidasani, a senior software engineer in New York City. I’ve spent 25+ years building production software, from enterprise platforms at Merck to real-time AI systems, tvOS/iOS apps, and self-hosted infrastructure.

Recent work is centered on AI/LLM and platform engineering: Stagecouch, a multi-tenant Apple TV streaming platform; ink-ai, a real-time LLM character backend demoed at the Tribeca Film Festival; privacy-first iOS reflection apps; and a contribution to NousResearch/hermes-agent that came from running its OpenViking memory stack locally.

This blog is where I write about the engineering behind that work: apps, AI systems, metadata pipelines, on-device privacy, and the tradeoffs that show up when software has to actually ship.
